1818 San Marco Project Update
This week at the 1818 San Marco project, progress continued across multiple areas. The site received a thorough clean-up, while electricians focused on panel F and the main disconnect. The HVAC subcontractor successfully set Unit 4, and fire alarm rough-in work also took place. On the exterior, the roofer installed the drip edge, followed by a roof inspection to keep everything on track.
Looking ahead to next week, roofing metal is expected to arrive by mid to late week. If it’s delivered on time, the roofer plans to begin running off the metal on Thursday. Meanwhile, the HVAC team is scheduled to install additional units, and we’re currently awaiting the final sprinkler permit to move that phase of the project forward.
Our capital campaign is more than just a construction project—it’s a transformative effort to secure a permanent home that will enhance our ability to serve Collier County with food, encouragement, and hope. This campaign represents our commitment to ensuring that those in need receive the support they deserve. It is a mission where every donation, every volunteer hour, and every effort contributes to creating a lasting impact in our community.
As Honorary Campaign Co-Chair Pat Kaufman puts it,
“We have a life motto best described by the Gospel of Luke 12:48 - ‘And from the one who has much, much more will be expected.’ So we look for ways to help, and this is a ministry where God is in the Center.”
Pat’s words remind us that our blessings come with a responsibility to give back and uplift those who are less fortunate.
Board Chair and Campaign Chair Allyson Richards further emphasizes this commitment:
“We are fortunate to live in this wonderful community. But you don’t have to look far to see there are real needs among many groups, including those working hard to make ends meet and those who are truly destitute. We serve all who come with dignity, respect, and love.”
Her message reinforces our promise to serve every individual with compassion and integrity, ensuring that our efforts benefit everyone, regardless of their circumstances.
Together, these perspectives form the backbone of our campaign—a plan with impact that honors our shared responsibility to support our community and build a brighter, hunger-free future.
